Being in the Public Eye: The Cost of the Scroll
"At first it is a little funny, then it starts to wear you down. You understand that the attention isn't truly for you, it's aimed at an image they saw on a screen, not the real person behind it."
— Robert Redford, Esquire Magazine Interview
Living your life in the public eye can feel incredibly heavy. To be completely honest, it takes a massive toll on your nervous system and your overall wellness.
Social media is a wild, unpredictable space where there are no clear rules. Most of the time, it feels like everyone is just making it up as they go along... because they are!
When your creativity, daily rhythm, or livelihood relies on a public screen, your brain is constantly flooded with outside noise, hyper-reactive algorithms, and thousands of strangers' opinions. It is so easy to lose your footing in the middle of all that exposure.
Recognizing the Internal Shifts
Sometimes, without even realizing it, your system might react to the pressure in quiet, exhausting ways:
-
Slipped into a protective freeze just to survive the psychological weight of constant exposure.
-
Gave away pieces of your private life that you otherwise wouldn't have, simply to feed and keep up with an algorithm.
-
Felt the exhausting need to constantly perform wellness, mask your struggles, or simulate normalcy for a camera.
-
Felt split into two completely separate worlds: the public image they see, and the real you behind the screen.
When everything is pushed out for public consumption, feeling disconnected is a completely natural, intelligent response. Your mind and body are not broken; they are simply looking for a quiet, sacred space to finally rest, unbrace, and feel safe again.
I offer a gentle, supportive landing pad built explicitly for influencers, public figures, and digital creators to step completely away from the public eye. This is a secure, unconditionally confidential zone where you can finally unbrace from the online world, drop the performance mask, & log off. You can show up to our sessions as your absolute, most frazzled self, & you will not be judged. You do not have to perform for me, hide your exhaustion, mask your burnout, or curate a single thought.
Together, we look past the analytics, negative feedback, & comment feeds to lift that heavy load off your shoulders & protect your overall wellness. This integrative therapy track provides you grounding, quiet breathing room designed to help you build unshakeable boundaries with the digital world, protect your mental & physical energy, & safely reclaim your right to a private inner life.
Depending on what is feeling the heaviest for you, we will organically shape our sessions around your specific needs, values, and pacing:
-
Navigating Two Worlds: Talk through how to stay firmly rooted and understand why it's important to who you are when the cameras are off, making sure you don't lose the real you in the shadow of a public online persona.
-
Therapeutic Identity Reconstruction: Rebuild a healthy relationship with your sense of self by separating your core human worth from analytics, engagement rates, and digital metrics.
-
Healing Public Shame & Cancellation Trauma: Safely process the acute psychological shock, anxiety, and isolation that comes with public backlash, online call-outs, or internet cancellation "cancel culture".
-
Overcoming Algorithmic Anxiety & Burnout: Treat the exhaustion of the relentless creation cycle, addressing the constant undercurrent of fear that taking a break will ruin your visibility or career momentum.
-
Sharing on Your Own Terms: Discover how much of your private world you choose to safely share without draining your personal health and wellness, or crossing your own ethics, values, and morals.
-
Navigating Identity & Expansive Relationships: Holding an unconditionally safe, sex-positive, kink-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ safe container to process how public scrutiny impacts your personal intimacy, relationships, or polyamory structures.
-
Reclaiming Your Voice with Partners: Practice different, flexible communication options to bring up your needs and boundaries with a partner in your private life, turning relationship anxiety into grounded openness.
-
Sharing Your Inner Circle: Weigh the unique realities of sharing your relationships with your audience, whether that includes family, friends, or romantic partners. We talk through how to protect your boundaries, how to navigate the pressure if a shared relationship shifts, and how to handle an online audience that treats another person's actions as a direct reflection of who you are.
-
The Safety & Boundary Compass: Learn to comfortably set and protect your boundaries. We focus on recognizing the physical warning signs that tell you when a situation is uncomfortable, helping you spot the difference between a collaborative conversation versus gaslighting or coercion.
-
Dismantling the Need for Universal Approval: Build a sturdy baseline of self-acceptance to comfortably accept that not everyone will like you, and that is completely okay. As Dita Von Teese beautifully said, you can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there is still going to be somebody who hates peaches.
-
Processing Public Negativity: Learn to separate constructive criticism from blind internet projection. We reframe cruel comments to recognize that someone else's mean words are simply a reflection of their own internal limits, not a statement on your actual human worth.
-
Stepping Away from the Screen: Untangle the pressure to turn your entire life into public content. Remember that some moments, thoughts, and life chapters are meant to be kept close, strictly for you, your friends, your family, or your journal.
-

My rates directly reflect my specialized clinical training, systemic LMFT background, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to providing a secure, deeply supportive space for the diverse communities I serve.
-
Individual Therapy for Adults | $300 per 50-minute session
This includes specialized, deeply protective care for adult trauma reclamation, algorithmic anxiety, creator burnout, ADHD support, sex worker and kink-affirming therapy, and complex chronic illness navigation. Our work together intentionally shifts the focus away from simply trying to manage or survive heavy symptoms—such as post-traumatic stress, public cancellation trauma, disordered eating, or self-harm—and instead focuses on gently rebuilding your whole life, personal agency, and core identity. We honor your struggles as intelligent protective responses rather than personal flaws, helping you expand your capacity beyond the rigid limitations imposed by your past or your public online persona. -
Individual Therapy for Children & Teens | $325 per 50-minute session
This rate honors the advanced clinical scope and extensive creative preparation required to hold a safe space for youth, including young digital creators, child actors, and teens navigating the heavy realities of early internet exposure and public peer surveillance. I provide tailored somatic tools, kinetic tools, and regular brief email check-ins. Every young person is a unique universe. I provide an unconditionally safe space for kids and teens to unmask, quiet their inner critic, and build tools to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. We focus on navigating the layers of growing up today: from handling trauma, anxiety, and chronic illness, to managing emotional dysregulation, building peer friendships, and reframing stressful social media situations. Because healing doesn't happen in a vacuum, I collaborate closely with you to share strategies that reinforce these new coping skills at home. If you ever need a dedicated, extensive 50-minute parent call to deeply unpack family dynamics separate from your child's time, these are scheduled and billed as a full session. You do not have to navigate these parenting years alone, and you deserve your own dedicated time to feel fully supported. -
Couple, Partnership, Multi-Partner, and Family Systems | $350 per 50-minute session
This rate reflects the advanced complexity of holding space for multiple moving pieces, individual nervous systems, and the added stress of sharing family or relationship dynamics with an online audience simultaneously. It includes specialized care for expansive intimacy therapy, monogamous relationships, polyamory and consensual non-monogamy structures, and kink dynamics. Our collective work together honors the reality that when unprocessed individual trauma, anxiety, public scrutiny, and grief show up, they naturally ripple through your shared connections. Together, we will create a supportive cushion to gently untangle my stuff, your stuff, and the stuff we make together. We will quiet the outside noise, lay down the pressure to perform for each other or a screen, and rebuild a shared foundation of vulnerability. We focus on helping you deconstruct rigid, exhausting communication loops so your entire unit can evolve toward a healthier, more sustainable rhythm.

I operate as an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. Choosing not to take insurance is an intentional decision I have made to protect the absolute integrity and privacy of our work together.
-
Protecting Your Privacy: When insurance companies are involved, they often require a formal mental health diagnosis and can dictate the number of sessions or the type of therapy you receive. For digital media professionals and creators, keeping your therapeutic history separate from corporate databases is an extra layer of structural safety separate from corporate databases is an extra layer of structural safety. I firmly believe that you should be the one to decide the pace and depth of your own healing journey, not an outside organization.
-
Tailored to Your Nervous System: By working outside of the insurance system, we can focus entirely on your day-to-day reality and your unique needs without outside restrictions. This keeps your records completely private and ensures that every session is tailored to your unique system, rather than a rigid corporate checklist.
-
Reimbursement Options: While I am out-of-network, your insurance plan may still offer reimbursement for our sessions. I am happy to provide you with a monthly statement called a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. I always recommend calling the number on the back of your card to ask about out-of-network behavioral health benefits so you can understand your coverage. Your well-being is my top priority, and I am here to help make this process as smooth as possible for you.

I completely understand that living with complex chronic illnesses, neurodivergence, and the highly unpredictable, erratic schedules of media production and brand campaigns means your daily baseline energy spoons and physical health can shift rapidly. To keep my practice sustainable and hold space for everyone who needs it, I require at least 48 hours' notice for all cancellations or schedule shifts so I can open that slot for others. If an unexpected flare, an acute symptom emergency, or an urgent press crisis happens closer to our appointment time, we will work side-by-side to pivot our session format. We can easily switch to a low-stimulation phone call, an off-camera telehealth check-in, or a flexible, text-based chat to fully honor what your body and mind need today. However, if you are completely unable to attend and we cannot find a virtual format that works for your system, the full session fee will still apply. I truly appreciate your understanding in helping me maintain a grounded, sustainable, and consistent space for our shared work together.
Your absolute right to privacy and therapist-client confidentiality is a sacred boundary. Let’s talk about what happens if we accidentally bump into each other out in the real world—whether that's at a San Francisco coffee shop, a grocery store, a local spot, or an industry event. To fully protect your privacy and shield you from unwanted public questions or speculation, I will always take my cue entirely from you. If you choose to look away, ignore me, or simply pass by, I will completely mirror your space and respect your privacy without taking it personally. If you choose to say hello, I will smile and greet you warmly as a friendly peer, but I will never be the one to disclose how we know one another or initiate a conversation about our therapeutic work. You are always entirely free to share or introduce me however you feel comfortable, but I will protect your confidentiality from my end by omitting any specific, identifiable details about our bookings, sessions, or relationship out in a public setting.
Your absolute right to privacy and therapist-client confidentiality is a sacred safety boundary. Choosing to enter clinical therapy requires a secure container where you can fully drop the pressure to perform, unmask, and process heavy dynamics without fear. I hold every single client’s story to this exact same rigorous standard of absolute, uncompromising privacy, regardless of the size of your platform or audience.
-
The Legal Shield of Therapy: Unlike a business coach or a standard consultant, my clinical relationship with you is protected by statutory therapist-client privilege under California law. I am bound by rigid medical privacy standards that prevent me from ever disclosing your identity, your bookings, or the contents of our sessions with outside organizations, brand teams, managers, publicists, or members of the public.
-
A Note on NDAs: Because clinical therapy operates under legal frameworks that already exceed standard corporate contracts, an NDA is typically unnecessary to protect your privacy in my office—your care is already legally shielded from exposure. However, for digital media professionals and public figures navigating complex legal, corporate, or brand scenarios, I am entirely open to reviewing and signing a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as an added layer of structural reassurance for your team. You can step into our virtual or in-person space knowing that your words, your human struggles, and your career are fiercely and completely protected.
-
You do not have to navigate the exhausting maze of public exposure all by yourself, and someone else's rejection does not lower your actual worth.
