Hey there! I totally get that money can be a big hurdle when it comes to getting the therapy you need. It’s something I care deeply about, especially since I work with people from all kinds of backgrounds. So, here’s what I do: I offer a sliding scale for therapy fees, which means the cost can be adjusted based on what you can afford. If you’re worried about the expense but really want to try therapy, let's chat and see what we can work out together.
And don’t worry—if I’m swamped and can’t take you on right now, I’ll do my best to help you find other trustworthy therapists who might be a great fit. You’re not alone in this, and I’m here to help however I can.
Do you think therapy can sometimes feel out of reach because of the cost? Well, I’ve got some great news! I’ve set aside a few spots for the Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund, which means I accept their vouchers for my therapy sessions. Isn’t that awesome?
These vouchers can cover part of the session fee, making it a bit easier on your wallet. And don’t worry about the rest of the cost—we’ll figure it out together. I’m all about creating a cozy, supportive space where you can grow and heal without stressing over money. Doesn’t that sound like a plan? Let’s make sure you get the support you deserve!
I do not accept insurance.
You might be wondering why I don’t accept insurance, right? Well, let’s chat about it. When it comes to your mental health, wouldn’t it be great if your journey was in your hands? Unfortunately, insurance companies often step in with their own rules, deciding how many sessions you can have and what kind of therapy is “best” for you. It can be a real hassle, especially if you end up with a therapist who doesn’t quite get your unique needs. Frustrating, right?
By not going through insurance, we get to focus on what’s truly important—your well-being. It’s all about you and your healing journey, without any outside restrictions. Sounds refreshing, don’t you think? I’m committed to providing care that’s completely in your best interest, and right now, that means steering clear of insurance.
But hey, don’t worry! You might still be able to get some money back. I always suggest checking with your insurance company about reimbursement options. If you need it, I can help by providing superbills to make the process smoother. Remember, your well-being is my top priority, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Got any questions? Feel free to ask!
Cancellation policy is a 48-hr notice
I totally get that life can throw us curveballs, so I've tried to keep things as straightforward as possible. If you need to cancel, just give me a heads-up at least 48 hours before your appointment. If it's a last-minute thing and you cancel or reschedule within that 48-hour window—or if you don't show up at all—you'll still need to pay for the session. This way, I can keep things fair and make sure everyone gets the time and attention they deserve. Thanks for understanding!
Are you thinking about working with me? That's awesome! Let's go through how you can get started. Whether you're a parent looking for support for your child or teen, or an adult ready to dive into therapy yourself, I’ve got you covered.

“Choosing a Mental Health Provider: A Step-by-Step Guide”
Now, let's talk about choosing a mental health provider. Have you ever found yourself unsure of where to start? Don't worry, you're not alone! Here is a step-by-step guide that makes the process easy and stress-free.
“A Beginner’s Guide to Therapy”
And if you're new to therapy, no worries! There is also a beginner's guide to therapy, so you know exactly what to expect. It's like having a friend walk you through it all.
Ready to take the first step? Let’s do this together!
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the ability to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. You already have some strengths that you’ve used before, that for whatever reason isn’t working right now. Perhaps this problem feels overwhelming and is making it difficult to access your past strengths. In our work together, I’ll help you identify what those strengths are and how to implement them again in what is happening now.
The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way– teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, therapy is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others “knowing my business.” Lastly, if your situation provokes a great deal of negative emotion, if you’ve been confiding in a friend or family member, there is the risk that once you are feeling better you could start avoiding that person so you aren’t reminded of this difficult time in your life.
You know when people ask how long therapy might take? The best answer is: it really depends. Everyone’s situation is different, and we all approach things in our own unique way. It’s kind of like trying to predict how long it’ll take to learn a new hobby or get fit—it varies from person to person.
There are a few key factors that can influence how therapy progresses. First off, the skills and style of your therapist are super important. A good fit there can make a big difference. Then, there's the relationship you build with your therapist. Feeling comfortable and trusting them is huge. Also, how often you meet and for how long can play a part in how quickly you see changes. And lastly, your own openness and willingness to dive into the process are crucial.
The truth is, we won’t know exactly how long it’ll take until we start working together and get a better feel for your situation. Therapy isn’t usually as quick as we’d like, but it’s not endless either. Some people notice changes pretty fast, while others might need more time to work through deeper stuff. But don’t worry, I’ll be right there with you, supporting you every step of the way.
totally get that picking the right therapist is a big deal on your healing journey. It's like finding the right pair of shoes—comfort and fit matter so much! If you're curious about how I work, definitely take a peek at my About and Services pages. They’re like a little window into my world.
To make things even easier, I offer a free consultation call. This is just a relaxed chat where you can tell me what's on your mind and see if my style clicks with what you're looking for. It's really about feeling each other out to see if we’re a good match. If you feel like we vibe well, I'm here to help you set up your first session and start tackling whatever challenges you’re facing together.
And hey, if during our call it seems like I’m not quite the right fit for you, no worries at all—I’ll happily point you toward some other options that might suit you better.
If you’re thinking about seeing a therapist, there are a few key things you should look for to make sure you have a great experience. Think of it like finding a good friend who’s there to help you, but with some extra skills.
First off, empathy is a must. Your therapist should really get where you’re coming from and make you feel understood without any judgment. It’s all about feeling safe to share whatever’s on your mind.
Then, there’s active listening. You want someone who’s not just nodding along, but actually paying close attention to both what you say and what you don’t say. This means catching those little non-verbal cues too.
Communication is key. Your therapist should explain things clearly and give you useful feedback. You shouldn’t feel lost or confused about what’s happening in your sessions.
A non-judgmental attitude is super important. It’s about creating a space where you can be yourself without fear of being judged. You should feel totally comfortable opening up.
Flexibility is also a biggie. A great therapist will tailor their approach to suit you. And if they realize they’re not the best fit for your specific needs, they should guide you towards someone who is. Don’t be shy to ask for this—it’s all about what works best for you.
Respect for diversity is crucial. Your therapist should appreciate and respect all aspects of who you are, whether it’s your culture, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.
They should also stick to ethical and professional standards, which basically means keeping things appropriate and maintaining boundaries.
Lastly, you want someone who’s always learning and growing. A therapist who’s committed to continual self-improvement will bring fresh insights and skills to your sessions.
In the end, you’re looking for someone who can build a trusting & supportive relationship with you, helping you reach your goals. It’s all about finding that right connection.
If you're feeling a bit unsure about starting therapy, that's totally normal. Seriously, a lot of people feel this way at first. One thing that can really help is just being open with your therapist about how you’re feeling. It might feel a bit awkward at first, but sharing your thoughts can actually make your sessions more effective and help build a stronger connection with your therapist. Just go at your own pace and remember, you're not alone in this!
I just wanted to chat about something that’s super important when it comes to therapy: how comfy and open you feel when sharing your thoughts and feelings with me or any therapist. It’s totally okay to talk about this openly, and I’m all ears!
So, here are a few things to think about:
-
Do you vibe with my personality as your therapist?
-
Is my office a place where you feel at ease?
-
Do you feel like your voice is heard during our sessions?
-
Are you feeling safe and comfortable to open up to me?
-
Do you feel like our sessions are sparking new thoughts and giving you the support you need?
Your feedback really matters to me, and I want to make sure you’re having a good experience. If you ever feel like we’re not quite clicking or that you might benefit from a different perspective, trust your gut! It’s perfectly okay to look for a second opinion. I’m here to help you find what works best for you.
