My Journey

Growing up in a household where talking about sex & sexuality was as casual as chatting about the weather was quite an experience. Can you imagine having that kind of openness? I was lucky enough to ask any questions I wanted, even as early as 6 yrs. old. I remember flipping through a book called "How Babies Are Made" that was just sitting on my bookshelf. My mum was always so comfortable in her own skin and made sure our talks were age-appropriate. It was kind of cool because it made me the go-to myth-buster among my friends on the playground—like, who else was debunking the whole “cooties” thing, right?

Fast forward to high school, and I started noticing that not everyone shared this comfort level. Have you ever felt like people get all awkward about topics like sex and gender? It was a bit of a surprise for me, especially since I was raised by a hippie nudist mum who took me to nude beaches and embraced her sexuality with no fuss. By the time I got to college, it just felt natural to befriend people of all identifying genders, as well as those who were involved in sex work. It probably had something to do with my easy-going, nonjudgmental vibe.

Then, during my last year of college, I stumbled upon sexual psychology. Who knew you could turn something that felt so natural into a career? I was totally amazed! Since then, I’ve been on this journey to learn more personally and professionally connect with different organizations to expand my understanding. My goal is to be there for others, offering the same supportive & nonjudgmental environment I grew up in. I get that not everyone has had the same freedom to explore their thoughts & feelings about sex, so I want to provide that opportunity for anyone who’s interested. Sound like something you'd be curious about?

Integrative, Holistic Therapist

I want to share a bit about how I approach therapy because I think it could be really helpful for you and anyone else looking for support. I like to start with what’s known as Person-Centered Therapy. Basically, that means I’m all about making sure you and your partner(s) feel truly heard and valued. It’s pretty much like having a chat with a friend who’s genuinely listening & cares about what you’re going through.

What makes my approach special is that I look at the whole picture of your life—not just one aspect. I consider everything from your emotions and mental state to your social and physical environment. This way, I can tailor the therapy to fit your unique needs. Think of it as a custom-made experience for your personal growth.

My focus is on blending different therapy techniques. I mix tried-and-true, evidence based methods with some fresh, innovative ideas. This combination is all about empowering you to take charge of your healing journey. We’ll work together to help you express yourself, explore your thoughts and feelings, and really make therapy a meaningful part of your growth.

In our sessions, I aim to create a space where you and your partner(s) can freely express those complex emotions and thoughts we all have. I know life’s challenges don’t exist in a vacuum, so whether it’s family, work, or health-related issues, I’m here to help you navigate through them. It’s all about having open conversations and understanding the deeper nuances of your experiences.

And hey, I also believe in exploring and embracing your sensual self. It’s important to feel comfortable as we delve into your sexuality and what it means for you. My goal is to help you embrace your identity and build stronger, more positive connections. So, if you’re ready for a journey of self-discovery and fulfillment, I’d love to be a part of it with you. Let’s uncover and celebrate your authentic self together!

  • Have you ever thought about how our sexual health is connected to so many other parts of our lives? It's not just about the physical aspect; it's tied to our emotions, our relationships, and even our mental well-being. That's what integrative therapy focuses on—looking at the whole picture.

Imagine using different techniques like behavioral, systemic, and somatic approaches to help you tackle issues. Whether it’s about differences in desire or working through past traumas, we can work through it together. We'll dive into both the sexual and non-sexual sides of your life to help you heal in a more complete way. Doesn't that sound like a journey worth taking?

  • Previously, have you ever pondered about how our overall well-being can affect different parts of our lives, like our sexual health? Holistic therapy takes that idea and really runs with it. Instead of just zoning in on specific issues or behaviors, it looks at the bigger picture—kind of like a puzzle with lots of pieces.

Imagine sitting down with me, someone who genuinely wants to understand your emotional and psychological world, your relationships, and even the cultural influences in your life. Sounds pretty thorough, right? It's all about working together to get to the root of things & make meaningful changes.

We might dive into mindfulness practices, which are great for staying present & calm, or try somatic techniques that focus on the body's wisdom. Have you ever noticed how societal pressures can sneakily mess with how we see ourselves and our sexuality? We explore all of that, too. It's really about healing and growing as a whole person. Curious to know more? Let’s chat!

  • Person-Centered Therapy is like having a super comfy, judgment-free zone where you can talk about anything on your mind, especially the stuff that might be a little awkward or tough to bring up, like your sexual feelings and challenges. This kind of therapy is all about creating a warm and understanding space where you feel totally accepted and heard.

I am here to be empathetic, which means I really get where you're coming from, and offer unconditional positive regard—fancy words for saying I accept you just as you are, no strings attached. I’m also congruent, meaning I’m genuine and real with you, which helps you feel safe to open up.

This is perfect for digging into those deeper emotional things like shame or guilt that might be tied to your experiences. It’s like having a heart-to-heart where nothing’s off-limits, and you’re encouraged to explore topics that are sometimes seen as “taboo.” The goal here is to help you feel better overall, both in your mind and in how you experience your sexuality. It’s all about boosting your well-being and helping you feel more at peace with who you are.

  • Picture having a comfy space where you can talk about your sexual feelings, fantasies, and even those little hiccups, without anyone raising an eyebrow. Interesting, right? This is all about diving into those feelings without judgment, using them as a stepping stone to chat about deeper things like shame or self-worth.

    • Dive into these feelings without any raised eyebrows, using them to discuss deeper issues like shame or self-worth.

    • Explore what triggers specific feelings and dig beyond the surface.

    • Examine everything from your past, body image, and relationships to understand the whole you, not just the symptoms.

    • Openly discuss intimate and "taboo" topics to increase self-awareness and satisfaction.

    • Blend mental well-being with sexual health to explore your needs and desires on a deeper level.

    • Work together to heal and understand what drives your sexual world for a more fulfilling, healthy sexual life.

    • Experience a more vibrant connection with yourself and any partners.

. Sound like a journey you’d be interested in?

  • Individual: I will chat with you about something pretty important and personal—our sexual experiences and how they tie into who we are. Picture this as a journey where we dive into how these experiences shape our self-identity and guide us on a path of self-discovery and healing. We’ll look at how your emotions, relationships, & past experiences are all connected. Sometimes, we might use techniques like breathing exercises or stretching to really help you tune into your body & release stress. This is a space where you can talk freely about your concerns while we work together to understand and embrace your sexuality. We’ll explore any complexities that might be causing avoidance or challenges in your sexual life.

Couple: If you and your partner(s) are on this journey together, it’s all about creating a warm, supportive space where everyone can have open, honest conversations. No judgments here—just a focus on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and rebuilding both emotional and physical closeness. Through open talks and some structured exercises, I'll help you express your desires and understand each other, deepening your connection. It’s about feeling safe to share your needs without fear. We’re not just tackling surface-level issues like differences in desire; we’re diving deep to uncover and resolve the real roots of any intimacy challenges. Sometimes, that means looking at how childhood experiences or unconscious conflicts play a role. Together, we can explore feelings and fantasies without judgment, using them as pathways to understanding things like shame, guilt, and self-concept. Ultimately, the goal is to foster greater intimacy, connection, and a more fulfilling sexual relationship for you and your partner(s).
