You are an individual with different needs, preferences, goals, personalities, etc., and to engage with you utilizing a "one size fits all" approach will more than likely do you a disservice. Let’s work together to reduce the challenges faced in your daily life whether it be the result of your past or present self so you can learn to thrive. As an integrative therapist, we will work together without any modality boundaries and integrate a combination of different therapeutic approaches tailoring therapy to meet the needs of you, as an individual. Yet, if there is a specific approach you would like to work solely under that is an option, as well.
While working together, we could get to the core of what is behind any unhealthy coping mechanisms/tools & patterns, learn new healthy coping mechanisms/tools to change your previous unhealthy behavior & thought patterns, and aid with discovering how to live your true authentic self & life with renewed confidence. I have supported people find clarity & insight and embrace self acceptance (esteem, worth, & advocacy) on their journey of self discovery by teaching new ways to cope with immediate stressors, and process core issues & trauma, and etc.
Over the past decade, I have worked with a variety of clients including children, teens, adults, and families from different cultures, lifestyles, experiences, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I am a sex positive therapist who is sex worker friendly and kink aware. By creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings, we can work together in individualized therapy towards your deeper personal growth & wellness journey.
Do you have any expectations or goals from therapy as a whole, and/or myself as the therapist? If so, please feel free to let me know, or we can create a few together.
NAME A BOOK THAT SHAPED WHO YOU ARE...
HOW BABIES ARE MADE By ANDREW C. ANDRY AND STEVEN SCHEPP
"This book initiated the first of many conversations with my mother that otherwise I don't know how and/or why I would have had them. The way in which my mother spoke with me, as I continuously had questions, it made me aware that the topic of sex, sexuality, the human body, etc. was nothing to have shame, taboos, etc. around. It was like talking about any other topic with her. I also became very popular on the playground with my new found "knowledge". It was the book that kicked off many dialogues amongst my family and peers, and allowed me to feel comfortable speaking about the topic with any and everyone.”
